Rebuilding the curve into Birkenhof

Every year, there's something that needs doing. This incarnation of the H&DLR has been obliged to build up on sticks, and parts are rotting. Slightly oddly, there's no real rhyme or reason as to which sections are rotting and which not. Anyway, part of the reverse curve into Birkenhof station has disintegrated over the last year, so today was rebuild time. You can see that the decking boards have rotted, and the track is lifting away from the base.

The new base is recycled plastic board, cut and jointed to fill the old track bed.

Being a Sunday, any trains were restricted to engineering trains!
